This is my 66 Catalina. I bought it back in August. I fell in love with the car because of its agressive stance I just love the body lines on the old Pontiacs. Since then, I have purchased 4 brand new Cooper Cobra radials $550. and mounted them on 4 brand new steel rims $ 400. I purchased a set of center hubcaps on Ebay $100 The car came with a 455 in it and it was suffering from blow by. So I took the engine out and had it rebuilt $3000. it has a comp cams thumper cam in it and sounds awesome with the 21/2 flowmasters and headers. Its a 1970 high compression 455 and it runs best on super unleaded. The motor has an Edelbrock Performer intake with a Barry Grant Demon carb with vacuum secondaries, MSD distributor, 6AL, Blaster 2 coil, Carter high volume fuel pump, The car starts right up and runs and sounds awesome !! The turbo 400 trans also rebuilt by previous owner who also converted the front drums to disc brakes along with a new master cylinder and power booster, The interior has newly recovered seats front and rear along with a beautiful headliner. I put a stereo in it along with speakers but its sitting on the carpet cause I dont want to cut up the dash, brand new carpet, the door panels are original and look great. This car is meant to be a driver. The body needs attention but I believe it looks good the way it sits. there is some form of rust on just about every panel. The floors are good but the trunk needs help and the front fenders, doors, etc. BUT like I said this is a great car to drive or restore it if you have the resources. The frame also has rust somewhere but not too bad. The vinyl top was replaced a few years ago along with the front windshield. I believe my price is fair considering that the engine is new, it only has about 200 miles on it so far. I drive it about 10-15 miles every day and it has never failed me once.
